I am unreasonably obsessed with this song. Eventually, the themes will make it into a fic; the idea of a love triangle that isn't focused on just one person... intrieging. Plus it would be MMF, which is my favorite configuration evah.

Famous Blue Raincoat, by Leonard Cohen

It's four in the morning, the end of december
I'm writing you now just to see if you're better
New york is cold, but I like where I'm living
There's music on clinton street all through the evening.

I hear that you're building your little house deep in the desert
You're living for nothing now, I hope you're keeping some kind of record.

Yes, and jane came by with a lock of your hair
She said that you gave it to her
That night that you planned to go clear
Did you ever go clear?

Ah, the last time we saw you you looked so much older
Your famous blue raincoat was torn at the shoulder
You'd been to the station to meet every train
And you came home without lili marlene

And you treated my woman to a flake of your life
And when she came back she was nobody's wife.

Well I see you there with the rose in your teeth
One more thin gypsy thief
Well I see jane's awake --

She sends her regards.
And what can I tell you my brother, my killer
What can I possibly say?
I guess that I miss you, I guess I forgive you
I'm glad you stood in my way.

If you ever come by here, for jane or for me
Your enemy is sleeping, and his woman is free.

Yes, and thanks, for the trouble you took from her eyes
I thought it was there for good so I never tried.

And jane came by with a lock of your hair
She said that you gave it to her
That night that you planned to go clear

-- sincerely, l. cohen

Cleo-chan tagged me, and since she's some BNF in Search of a Fandom, or something, I figured the least I could do is bend to her twisted and egotistical will. *le sigh* ;)

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

Just for the record - I refuse to tag. If y'all want to post your seven favorite songs, go for it.

1. Shell, from Witch Hunter Robin, an anime.

2. Away from Me, by Evanescence. It's from one of their pre-making-it-big albums.

3. Inner Universe, by Yoko Nakko, from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, another anime.

4. Broken, by Seether - the version with Amy Lee.

5. Whatever I Fear, by Toad the Wet Sproket.

6. Anarchy, by KMFDM.

7. Fade Away, by Seether. Yes, I put in Seether twice. Yes, this is because I bought their CD a few months back. Yes, it's because the song Broken was on the radio. Yes, I am a tool of mass media - fuck off. ;)

The band I want desperately to get into and yet have managed to not buy a single CD of is Cruxshadows.

Oh, and btw, please don't nudge me. If you really want to know what's going on with me, and I'm not being enough of a monkey to dance for your entertainment, send me a fucking email. I get (and write) enough form letters at work; I really don't want to get them from my "friends." ktnxbai

I read the book. I will avoid saying more because OMG SMO-CHAN CAN'T FILTER ME OUT I'LL CRY EMO TEARS OMG!!!!!

Full Metal Panic owns my ass. Add Souske to the list of anime guys I wouldn't mind dating. Also, please to be explaining to me why I get crushes on them, kthnxbi.

Seether is happiness. I don't care if it's popish - the guitar is pretty and the lyrics are angry. Two thumbs up.

My room is a mess. Anyone wanna fedex me a House Elf?

Cleaning now... not really "around" yet. If you really want me you can find me, but I'm cranky on and off. I expect the worst of my personality quirks will be smoothed out by Monday - at least I hope so, since work'll be a bitch if they aren't.
