Peer pressure

deoridheSo, here I am, reading my friends' journals and one of them says to me, 'You should start a live journal!' and I say, 'Huh, well... sure.' Just consider these some more bytes to pollute the world wide web and keep people from finding what they REALLY want to find.
Most of the people who will read this know me, so I'll skip the boring, 12 step program introduction. If you don't know me and feel a burning desire to know more, feel free to ask. I reserve the right to tell you to take a long walk off a short pier. (On the topic of 12 step programs, I watched a movie yesterday night called 'The Specials,' which was about this group of, ah... 'special' super heroes. There's this great line in it; Amok, the sardonic wit who can summon antimatter, says to Ms. Powerful, who can turn into any material she's touching, 'You're fucking 12 stepping me to death here!'. I just about died laughing.)
So, the upshot of this whole thing is that I'm giving in to peer pressure. It was nominal pressure, too. A soap bubble would have been able to hold up under it. Which means, effectively, that I wanted to start a Live Journal, I was just waiting for that one person to say she thought it was a good idea too.
It's Sunday. The weather is hot without being oppressive and the sun is shining. I need to water my plants (Sunday is default 'water weekly' day and my tomatoes get watered almost daily). I've also got to re-pot my tomatoes and peppers (I got these cool plastic trenchers at Home Depot that should work out well), play some more Final Fantasy X, clean my room (ha! as if), do the weekly chores of doom!, and clean all my fishies water. Ah yes, if you don't know me you wouldn't know - I keep bettas.
Lots of bettas.
Copious amounts of bettas.
Not, however, enough betas to line the entire boob wall on the side of my room. For that I am grateful.
