This is going to sound weird, but--I'm so glad you wrote this, and are able to see this now. I went through some huge myth-breaking--literally; I actually used the word "myth" at the time--after my parents divorced, so I know what you mean. In fact, I think being online as "Cleolinda" has almost been my way of circumventing some of my own myths. Like, "Lauren" is (supposedly) quiet and shy and doesn't have a lot of friends. But "Cleolinda" comes to the table as a blank slate, and she can be anything she wants to be. So best of luck with all of this--I know where you're coming from. *hug*
