Right about now, my ankles hate me.

We got our new DDR pads tonight. They are the BOMB. Worth every cent. Hand made, steel, can stand up to an SUV rolling over them, they are the flyest things in the world.

I danced for over two hours tonight. Right now, the lower half of my body is planning a revolt.

I'll quell them tomorrow when we play some more!

Of course, you have made my friend Ted jealous, he has wanted one of those pads for as long as I've known him. He plays DDR in the arcades, and is good enough that Asian guys give HIM props.

Damn. We're not that good; we're just obsessive. fuzzyfruit and shingan both kick my ass big time, but I'm at the point where I do almost all on the standard level, so I'm not doing too badly.

s1ncer1ty is damn good these days too. I don't think you've played with her in a while. Hell, we're all getting decent. But we're many, many feet away from having the Asian guys saying, "You're awesome." (no offense Asian guys - most of you have mad skillz at these games!!)

I hope we're playing tonight - I'll set up the room when I get home, just in case. ;)

Normally $350. We got them on a two for one deal with a connector bar that will space them like the arcade (for playing doubles) for a bit over 600$.

Technically, they're $299.99, but then there's shipping on top of that. We got ours at $279.00 each, and paid even less because we bought 2 together. They seem to run holiday sales, for anyone out there thinking of getting one (DO IT).

*grins* These are pads to envy, let me tell you. They give instructions on how to take them apart and fix them, too, and it's simpler than putting in new hardware in a computer!!! Kicks ASS.

I totally have pad envy.. but it'll be quite a while until I'm good enough to actually .. y'know.. be up to that kind of level of play, and to save up that much cash.

As the owner of the other excellent Colbalt Flux (www.cobaltflux.com) platform, I must concur. These things are f'king awesome. Like having the arcade platform right in your house, minus the balance bar thingie.

You even get that foot-and-leg ache that happens when you try to play foam pad style on a metal platform! *sighs happily and doesn't walk properly for a day* Just like the arcade...

And, I'm not sure I answered you last night, but yeah, my lower legs were definitely aching after our first night on them. We need to name them, d00d.

And I need to make myself a DDR icon. I need to get a paid account here again so I can have more than 3 icons...
