RIAA and not-so-random finds

deoridheAnd in a new and bizarre twist in the RIAA music piracy crackdown, Interpol claims music and software piracy funds terrorism. I'm amused. How exactly does that work, if music and software piracy usually doesn't accompany the exchange of money? As an extension to this, there is a proposed bill to make the uploading of any file to any network (including private ones like in, say, an apartment) a felony with years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine attached. In other words, if my computer was connected to, say, Ryan's computer and I wanted to burn a cd (since my current burning software is refusing to acknowledge I have a drive and I don't have the cd to reinstall or uninstall it) so I gave him access to my music folder, I've just committed a felony under this law. Even if I own the CD I burned the song from. Joy.

The combination of the histrionic "need to be the center of attention all the time" with the avoidant avoid[ance of] social situations, and seek[ing] out [of] jobs with little contact with others" is endlessly amusing. I think you can explain the dichotomy by pointing out the schizotypal. Ahh, the freaks of the personality disorders.
