Yes, I wrote most of this yesterday. Yest, I answered the tail end of the survey this morning. Yes, I've got the day off. Yes, I'm cleaning my room (run in fear!) and doing laundry. Yes, more of "the thing" will be stitched together by tonight. Yes, my fish are frisky (bubble nests galore!).
Thank one of my coworkers for this one; someone had WAY too much time on their hands.

The fundies now hate the rainbow because it’s "obviously" homosexually related. This actually ties into a beef of mine. I love rainbows and always have. I love how the color smoothly fades from one color to the next, and the way it glistens when you see a real one in the sky. I have a compulsive need to organize things in rainbow order, and I have been known to paint my nails in rainbow (combining yellow and orange into one because I only have five fingers). And then, when I was in high school, it got co-opted. And now, whenever I admire something rainbow colored, wear rainbows, own something rainbow colored, etc… I always get this 'look.' "Hmmm," they say to themselves, "is she lesbian?" My friends actually love to tease me about this one, though it’s grown less interesting lately (thank Odin), but it honestly gets old. I love my rainbows, and I love the lesbigays that I know personally (the rest of y’all I make no judgments calls on), but I wish I could have my favorite thing back without all of the implications attached.
Oh, and
shingan, remember the college personality question I told you about? I think rainbows make an excellent fully correct answer. ( details cut for those who don’t care or already know )
