The President wishes to criminalize the burning of flags.
All "It's the economy, stupid" thoughts aside, I have always thought this was an incredibly stupid law to even try to put on the books. Let us check our "handbook of proper flag care" shall we? Look under "proper disposal."
"(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."

There is no justice. I must journey forth to Kinkos to order 20 copies of an entirely too large government solicitation. We have computers... can't we read on them and kill fewer trees?
