Long silences
This has been an aggravating week. I think the most annoying thing was the case of hives I developed on Thursday, which kept me home (and in a Benadryl stupor) all of Friday. The hives haven't gone, but their itching and hurting have ceased somewhat, and so I'm vaguely mobile once more. I travel not without the calamine lotion, however. This explains the recent silence.
I'm going to Michigan for the week, which will explain the silence to come. I'm staying somewhere without internet access, so I expect to get a lot of crafts done! I'm leaving with my family Sunday morning, and we'll be returning either Saturday or Sunday of next weekend. In other words, if you try to contact me and can't find me, don't panic. 8) I'm alive, I'm just in a completely analog world.
Have a happy set of holidays, people! I love you all! Well, maybe not the people I don't know, but all of you that I know well I definitely love.

And I'm back! It's so much warmer here, it's fantastic. I'm enjoying being in lighter coats. Now I just need to find a spare second to unpack... I hope your holidays were good. 8)

Benadryl always knocks me out and makes me very dozy too. Calamine is nice, but causes your clothes to stick to you. I usually try to put it on straight out of the shower, and then run around in the buff for a bit until at least I'm not sticking to everything.
Have fun in Michigan! I've never been up there; when you get back, tell us what it's like!
Hives! Yay!
Mom recommended epsom salt baths, which I never took because my first bath was nasty and uncomfortable (I am not a good bath-er; I'm too large for the tub and I get board within seconds, which quickly leads to annoyance; my lifelong dream is to have a Japanese-style bath so I can lounge to my heart's content and not feel like I'm 300 lbs of disgustingness). Last time, though, epsom salt was wonderful.
When I get time to post (probably tonight) it'll be about my grandmother's house and Michigan. I do love it up there, but having only my grandmother puts a pall on the holidays.

I did have a good time. I feel horribly behind, though, so I'm scrambling to make up for a mixed week!
